Mauricio Jaime, Braian Toledo and Alejandro Ionski

With a throw of 74.62m Braian Toledo won the Argentine National Championship and broke Pablo Pietrobelli's record of 72.52m, which he set in 2007. At the age of 17 it was Toledo's first championship and the record was set on his second throw.

Toledo's throw was the best performance on the first round of the 92nd National Championships organized by FAM and the CADA of the Cenard de Capital Federal, where the next South American Championships will take place.
Braian series was the following: 71.84m, 74.62m, 73.10m, 67.71m, invalid, 73.70m.

"I am happy with the results, but I am not completely satisfied as we always expect more"- said Toledo after the meet.
Braian, who's personal best with the 800g javelin is 76.60m, declared that it was a pretty good throw considering that he did not throw hard as he was concentrating more on the technical aspects, which he thinks is fundamental to work on to achieve better results later.

Braian Toledo pointed out that this was his first championship that he won and his next events will be the Grand Prix of Argentine and of South America.

Toledo insists that he is taking it day by day and for now he is not yet worried about achieving the entry standards of the Pan American Games and the London Olympic Games.

The first round of the Nationals was a success, with lots of competitors, lot of sun, however, the wind was a little stronger than expected.

Final results:
Javelin Men
1st) Braian Toledo (BA) 74.62m
2nd) Alejandro Ionski (BA) 63.33m
3rd) Mauricio Jaime (TUC) 60.84m
