Miklos Nemeth showing Jan Zelezny the new Nemeth Club 75m medium composite javelin
Jan Železný and Miklós Németh

Miklós Németh, founder of Nemeth Javelins, visited the Czech javelin throwing team and Terseus Liebenberg's South African team in Potchefstroom, South Africa last week.

Miklos introduced our new aluminum carbon composite javelins and it was received very well. The new Nemeth Javelins met the athletes' and coaches' expectations after all these years of domination of carbon javelins.
The first person who tried our new javelins was world record holder Jan Zelezný, and he was very impressed with the new design and characteristics of the javelins.

Our Al-Carbon composite javelins are softer than regular carbon javelins because the base component is aluminum, which gives a softer feel and more humane response during the throw, while the carbon coating decreases the vibration of the javelin.

Both world champion Tero Pitkämäki and women's world record holder Barbora Špotáková kept practicing with the new javelins during the training camp.

This occasion was also the premiere of the new 500g and 700g javelins. The young throwers put these spears under scrutiny and they performed extremely well. The flight properties of these javelins are excellent. They fly like the men's old rule javelins, they glide in the air and never want to land.

The following pictures represent the first moments when the world class athletes, like Jan Zelezný, Barbora Špotáková, Tero Pitkämäki, Petr Frydrych first laid hands on the new equipment.
