Nemeth Prize - 1st Annual Javelin Thrower of the Year Award

The purpose of the Nemeth Prize is to honor active javelin throwers annually, who produce great athletic achievements and contribute to track and field significantly through the art of javelin throwing.

The competition's grand prize is the

          Nemeth Trophy (by Peter Botos glass artist) and a newly developed Nemeth Aluminum-Carbon Javelin.

Additionally, a second place prize, a

          Nemeth Competition javelin with a Nemeth javelin bag  will be awarded.

Third, fourth & fifth place prizes will be

          Nemeth Javelins T-shirts along with autographed Miklos Nemeth posters.

The selection of Winners:

The athlete producing the best result during the 2012 season will be the winner of the Nemeth Prize in the given age groups.

Results must be achieved between February 1st, 2012 and November 30th, 2012. Prize winners will be announced on our website on December 15th, 2012 in the following four categories:  Junior Men, Youth Men, Junior Women & Youth Women. All male and female throwers are taken into consideration competing at an international level. 

Requirements of the Nemeth Prize:

1) Results must be achieved in an official competition organized by a National Athletic Federation or the IAAF.

2) Results must be ratified by a National Athletic Federation or the IAAF and posted on our Facebook page (www.facebook.com/NemethJavelins) or sent to us directly via email (info@nemethjavelins.hu).

3) Photo or video of the throw should be sent along with the result if available.
